3D Printing

Here you will soon find my 3D printing products and services. Need a bracket you can’t seem to find anywhere? Have an idea for the design of a clip that would make your life so much easier? Contact me and let’s get’er done for you. And at a fraction you would expect to pay for “manufacture on demand.”

3D printers use digital models designed with CAD (computer aided design), or similar programs to produce items. Those models are then “sliced” by special software to tell the printer what to print. The quality of the finished product depends on the quality of the 3D models. The learning curve for these programs can be quite steep and take a while to learn. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to use one of these programs. Digital model design for 3D printing is just one of my services.

For those of you lucky enough to have your own 3D printer, on this site you will soon be able to browse a library of 3D models I have designed, available for download. I’t is my hope that library will eventually include files submitted by the online community I hope to build here.

I would like to eventually put together videos, and possibly even kits, for those interested in building their own 3D printer. With products and technology readily available, it’s much more easier than you would imagine. I’m currently experimenting with several designs to find the perfect combination of ease of build with a great final product of an entry-level printer to get you started in the wonderful world of additive manufacturing. Watch for news on those kits.
